Our 31st annual San Jose Saxophone Christmas is set for Saturday December 20th, 2025!
We had over 240 players last year for our 30th – Don’t know if we can top that this year ..
** a mandatory rehearsal will be held that morning at Del Mar High School – San Jose, CA
(in partnership with the DMHS Performing Arts Department) DMHS located at 1224 Del Mar Ave – San Jose
Doors open at 8:00am – rehearsal runs from 10:00am to 12 noon rehearsal required of ALL performers – no exceptions
** a $30 registration fee for each performer (this helps with expenses for the event)
** each player gets a set of music, a souvenir/performance shirt -the music is NOT sent out prior to the event (don’t ask)
** DMHS booster club will have a coffee/tea bar to help raise funds for their spring trip – bring a few extra dollars and support them.
We’ll again have some light morning refreshments to go along with their warm beverages
** 1st performance: Christmas In The Park (San Jose) – 2pm to 3pm – near the fountain area / center of the park
** 2nd performance: Eastridge Shopping Mall – 5pm to 6pm – near center court
Whom can participate? Anyone that has had at least 1 year’s playing experience on the Saxophone. The arrangements are designed to be
learned quickly, and played with only one or two “run throughs”. The music will be printed in the marching, or ‘folio’ sized sheets, so, you will
need a lyre. Horns that do not have a lyre holder may use a music stand. Flip folders work well. Our shows are standing affairs.
– a chair can be provided if a player is unable to stand for the hour performances. (players can also choose to bring their own chair/stool).
IMPORTANT ## If you can, bring a folding chair to rehearsal. Mark with tape w/name. We’ll be short by about 50 chairs.
All performers must supply their own transportation from the rehearsal to each of the performance venues.
Players are encouraged to wear ‘holiday attire” for the performances. And the first performance is outdoors,
so dress accordingly. Bring extra reeds, cork grease, and any other essentials for your performance.

Our sweatshirts are a Powder Blue color. They cost extra and are optional. See note on the bottom for ordering.
Everyone must have a shirt, but Sweatshirts ARE optional !! Players cannot opt out of a shirt for a sweatshirt!
Performers should pre-register no later than Wednesday December 3rd, so we can order shirts and have the correct music for all the players.
Teachers can duplicate this form as needed. We do take walk-ups the day of the event, but late sign-ups might not get a shirt.
